Photo of the Week – Dance Away!

Mingling with the flamingosThis is one of my favorite pictures because it evokes a total feeling of joy. This is, so far, one of the very few photos I did not take myself. Big thanks to my dear friend Renee who traveled with us during that particular trip. This picture was taken in Nassau Bahamas at The Ardastra Gardens & Zoo.

The flamingos march three times a day to delight and entertain all the visitors. After the marching event, we were invited to mingle with the flamingos and I jumped at the opportunity to do so.

You can see by the smile on my face that I was having such a great time! I later decided to use this photo in many of my travel presentations or blogs. After all, what is life without some joyful unplanned dancing opportunities!

Greetings and thanks for your comments – At first, I was somewhat concerned they would nip or bite, but they were obviously used to being around people! The parade leading them in was hilarious!

That looks like a lot of fun. I have heard about having more up-close animal experiences. I have never had the opportunity but if I get the chance I definitely will go.

Your photo is so cute, especially your expression. There is a vibe of carefreeness, even for a a few seconds when this picture was being taken but it is enough to make me feel happy. As if all the stress has gone and what’s left is you, at the moment…Thanks for the lovely post, you seem like someone I would totally get along with.
