Wow – What an absolute honour to have made the final list of Blogger/Blog of the year of the Ottawa Base magazine FACES. I am so excited and humbled, as I have worked hard to provide a blog that offers fun travel stories, travel tips, and beautiful photos.
I am proud to call Ottawa my hometown and even though I traveled for 15 years of my consulting career, I always looked forward to coming back home. This year, I’ve attended many Ottawa events and shared them with you on this blog. Here’s a recap of my 2017 Ottawa articles –
I shared with you the wonders of La Machine, a never-seen-before in Ottawa street performance story of two gigantic amazing structures, A Dragon, and a Spider who moved about the downtown core mesmerizing onlookers. My post “My Close Encounter with a Dragon” features beautiful photos of these amazing works of art.
This summer, Ottawa was host to a unique event, a dinner for 1,000 guests sitting at one very long table in front of our iconic parliament. Renown chefs paired with local chefs provided meals from various regions of Canada. Read all about it in my post “Canada’s Table – More Than a Feast For 1000”.
I shared with you 7 Fun Things to do at our Museum of Science and Technology in Ottawa. This newly renovated museum has amazing displays and fun activity centers for kids of all ages.
The post “7 Must-See Sights of Ottawa” provides you with photos and photos and information on my favorite Ottawa sights.
As you can see, I am very proud of my city, and along with my posts of travels abroad, I maintain a solid base in my beautiful hometown.
