I really enjoy watching cooking shows on television, reading foodie blogs and looking at beautiful food pictures. When I travel, I pay attention to the food specialties of each location. France offered so many amazing dishes, desserts and wine. While in Paris, my good friend Stephane wanted me to experience the ambiance of a famous bakery called Ladurée. I walked into the main store on Champs Elysées and was first caught off guard by the delicious aroma of sugary confections. The lineup was clear across the store and I could tell by the amount of staff serving customers, that this was a very busy store.
Ladurée is often said to be the best place in Paris to experience French Macarons, but as you can see on the photo of the week, their products extend past the famous macaron. I feel that if a food picture doesn’t make you yearn to taste the meal or dessert, then it hasn’t captured the gastronomical essence. Just looking at this photo makes my mouth water! I also really like the colours and details of each sweet treat.
