I am Sylvie Hanes, the Appreciative Traveler.
I have been traveling for more than 5 decades if you count my family trips of my youth. I was born outside of Montreal Quebec and lived my first 10 years in a francophone world. I quickly learned English and in high school learned Spanish.
I spent 3 summer in Spain studying in Spanish (late teen years) and traveled with my corporate career for more than 15 years.
Since my retirement, I’ve traveled to 31 countries in 4 continents. I enjoy photography, volunteering in various countries, walking the Camino de Santiago in Spain and sharing my travel experiences.
My goal is to provide you with lots of tips, ideas, recommendations about corporate and personal travel. I also will share many of my travel stories and of course, my travel photos.
So come along, let me know what you would like to see, share your comments and questions about any post – Consider me a virtual travel guide!
Cheers and let’s get traveling!
